Hello guys,
I know I said in my last article here that it was my last entry for the meantime but here I am writing another entry to calm my nerves and just get my mind off of the preparations and just relax for a bit.
I received some requests to build a new Goblin deck for standard and to get inspiration I pulled out an old list of mine I remember fondly back in college called Goblin Bidding.
The deck revolves around playing Patriarch’s Bidding inside a tribal deck. It found decent success in Goblins and some zombie lists back in Onslaught through Scourge but this card made the goblin tribe very oppressive because it combos really well with Goblin Sharpshooter, Siege-Gang Commander and Skirk Prospector.
Pinging the opponents while you pop your goblins for mana, and shooting them with the Commander, then repeating the process after casting Bidding was disgusting. So why not bring it back in standard through…
Fine, it won’t bring the entire family back from the dead, but for 5 mana you can get decent 1-2-3 drops that can win the long games, grind the gridlock and steal the win.
We have a wide range of goblins to choose from and they all serve specific purposes that when pulled together they become one big value town machine.
I especially like Dark-Dweller Oracle because it can turn useless creatures into value.
We have pingers, token makers, mini-sweepers, card advantage, mana generators and removal-on-a-stick which we can get back with Gruesome Menagerie.
We also got lords that give haste to everyone and pumps our dudes which works like glue, pulling the entire deck together. What’s the decklist? Continue scrolling!

I will explain a bit my SB choices, humor my craziness here.
I hate Steel Leaf Champions. ’nuff said.
Whisper has this sexy interaction with Warboss because we can feed those tokens into getting something else. Whisper and Siege-gang Commander can actually loop for unlimited goblin tokens each turn (Play SGC, get 3 dudes. Sac 1 dude and SGC, get SGC back and 3 dudes for a total of 5 dudes and the SGC).
Garna is my insurance policy against sweepers, bad attacks, bad blocks and any effect that blows me out. Against control decks that play Deafening Clarion, Ritual of Soot and Cleansing Nova, flashing out Garna will definitely make our opponent read the card, read it again, and be speechless that this is actually a card. If our opponent plays a sorcery based sweeper, flashing this at EOT allows us to recast the creatures we got and attack on the same turn thanks to the free Haste that Garna gives. Sweet!
That’s it for now, Ciao!

I really like this. I’ll be playing Mono-Red Aggro this coming weekend in Denver, but I’ve been waiting for something gross to do with Menagerie that isn’t GB. This is great, nice build!
